Bank Description:

Cambodian Entrepreneur Building Limited was established as a non-government organization (NGO) in 1995, under the name Cambodia Community Building (CCB), to offer financial and health education services to poor communities. In late 1999, CCB adopted a minimalist microfinance approach focused purely on credit and saving services. As a result, its lending operations gradually shifted from predominantly village bank group loans to a mix of solidarity group and individual lending. In April 2003, CEB obtained a license from the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) to operate as an MFI.

CEB’s mission is to provide financial opportunities for entrepreneurs in low-income communities, particularly women, in both urban and rural areas of Cambodia. CEB operates 22 outlets located in 5 provinces and impacts more than 500 villages. The institution offers multiple loan products and recently developed a voluntary savings product.
